oh god no....I doubt it'll ever see 4K on the tach....To be honest, I bought it for the sound..a big block V8 sounds like no other....but at the same time, I don't want any stumbling or rough running/idling....

I realize in the 6.2, we are supposed to run 91 or better, 93.... but 87 is allowed...

So here's my dilemma:

I bought the 2SS as I'm recently retired and have always wanted a V-8 camaro. I have no family to speak of, and NEVER see the interstate, I run around town only, and do less than 6000 a year on the car.

So since I'm on a fixed income, could I run 87 without doing any harm? or maybe 89?

Please respond looking thru my eyes, not a 30 year old who loves performance, MT's etc. I've been there and understand that, but I'm not at that life point now...

so what say ye?

Thanks!

Lets just say... You do only drive it 6000 miles a year... At 17mpg, that is about 353 gallons of fuel a year. Typically it's about a 20 cent per gallon difference between regular fuel and premium. That extra 20 cents will equal out to about $70.60 a year, or roughly $5.88 a month...

I understand your coming from a fixed income point of view, but the car will not only run better, but also get better fuel mileage on 91 oct... Why squeak on $6.00 a month for fuel? It could possibly cost you more than that in the theoretical worse fuel mileage you will get by running 87...

Just a thought.

I use 91 E10 here with no problems... I would run straight gas all day long if it weren't for the price difference... It's about Non-E 92 is about $1.00 per gallon more than E10 91/92... I got my best fuel mileage on the hwy with the straight 92 (29 mpg)...

If the price difference where you are between the two isn't that huge, go for it. If it's priced like it is in my area, you'd be best off with the E10 93

Hey little,

Earlier you were asking about the Corsa exhaust. I will leave this video for you but you only need to watch the first 40ish seconds. Notice all of the Camaro's and F-bodies go by and then at the 32 second mark I go by with my Corsa.

I think that is me again at the 1:99 mark but I can not tell, sounds like it.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.
