Question DMV Vehicle Registration Fee Calculator

I was on the DMV site earlier and stumbled upon this calculator. Has anyone seen this before and if so, what does the total signify? Will the total that it yields be the same that we will pay at the dealership?

It should be. I'm not sure if that was updated with the new sales tax hike or not. It could be more than the total you got if it isn't updated. YIKES! $565 per year to register a car is retarded. It cost me $70 for 2 years in VA. This state is all about draining your pockets.

That's because it's a new car and includes taxes for the transaction. Once you own the car it's right at about what you paid in VA for two years.

The GRAND TOTAL is...

- The sales tax you'll pay on the car when you input your MSRP.
- All your license and registration fees.

In AZ! The newer the car the more taxes you pay. I've heard folks complaining about paying $700 to renew their tags for one year! I didn't bother asking him what kind of truck he owned....... figured it would just get him more PO'd!
