Tune/Altitude/Octane Help
I have a few questions guys, I plan on getting a tune for the car after C5Fest.
Tune will just be for bolt-ons with lt headers. I understand most pumps closer to sea level have 93 octane fuel, so I am curious if getting a tune close to sea level running 93 octane will have any noticeable affects on running my normal 91 octane at my typical sea level of 3000' to 6000'? Would you guys say just run and tune for 91 octane even at sea level or tune with 93 octane at sea level and go back to my 91 octane when I get home? Hope this makes sense and I am not just over thinking things as usual.

A tune with GOOD 93 octane will have more timing in it than 91 can handle, without knocking. If you let the person tuning your car know that you'll only be able to get 91 back home, he/she can adjust the tune accordingly. If you have a 91 tune on it now and you're happy with it, just run it like it is. There are no ill affects from running 93, even if you're tuned for 91.
