Looks like I need to hurry up and preorder this but the only problem is if it is delivered on launch day ill be at work and cant be there to accept a package and I doubt they will leave it on the door step for any ole person to walk by and take it. Hmmn what to do.

release day is like a holiday. you take the day off.

yea by no means am I a "ps3 fanboy." In fact this is the only console I have ever preordered. It just seems sick.

Makes me happy that they're doing that.

I was going to get one regardless. But what annoyed me was the always on. I almost always play offline because when I play RPG games I don't want friends to interrupt me

The "always on" idea never bothered me. I just leave my PS3 plugged in at all times. I can see how your situation could get annoying. They need a software solution for that, you can remain plugged in but go invisible.

Too late... I just tried before I came here and read this.

I can't believe that people who pre-ordered on day one get beat out by someone who comes on later and gets a launch day version. That sucks.

I have one of each reserved Mike. If I end up choosing one or the other, or none I can just ship you the one that I get. I pre-ordered both and got lucky with the launch day versions but I ordered both just in case I do decide to get a new system this year. I am striving to get a new machine this fall, but a new console may or may not be in the plan.

If I were you I would send them an email and grieve it, that's wrong that you pre ordered how many days ago and now someone else pre ordered after and gets a launch day delivery I raise the flag

Not really a big deal with me. I have no gaming system now so this will be a first. Just thought I needed a new toy.

Started browsing games, saw the bundles and noticed the pre-launch ones that popped up.

I never owned more than one xbox360 I just had one rebuilt 3 times.

Wow never had an issue with my Xbox 360 and got it day one. My ps3 went out on me but that's probably because I play it more.

Ya I was shocked to see my order wasn't automatically moved to the "launch day edition."

I had to have to quick thinking to save myself.
