Pulled the trigger!!!

After hours of perusing this forum and building umpteen versions of a 2SS on line I've finally decided on the exact configuration. Ordered it from the same fellow that I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee from, who also happens to be one of the highest volume Corvette salesman in the country. Not sure about naming the store or salesman because I'm not sure how the sponsoring dealers thing works on this site. His store is about half an hour from me in Gaithersburg Maryland. Anyway, here's the specs:
2SS RED HOT WITH KALAHARI INTERIOR, KALAHARI KNEE PADS
MANUAL TRANSMISSION
NAV
MAG RIDE
DUAL MODE EXHAUST
SUNROOF
BODY COLORED SPLASH GUARDS
BLACK FRONT AND REAR BOWTIES
SILVER PAINTED DOUBLE SPOKE WHEELS
BLACK METALLIC RALLY STRIPES.

Some random thoughts. I've been a Corvette guy since the introduction of the C6 in 2005 and currently own a 2009 coupe with Z51 package. Love the 2017 Grand Sport but after pricing one out a C7 equipped as above is in the mid 70's. Not in my comfort zone. For 20 grand less I get a Camaro which is bigger on the inside and a Corvette engine. The closest thing I've ever owned to a Camaro was a 1999, 35th anniversary Mustang, which had the 4.6 and about 275 hp. Trading that in on a C6 was a no brainer back when C6's could be had for 52.
The dealer did not have a single 2SS manual for me to test drive. I had never even sat in a C6 before I picked it up in Atlantic city in 2005, but how bad could it be?? I did sit in a fifty anniversary model and I fit just fine. Couldn't believe how far back the drivers seat went, plenty of room for me, I'm 6'1" and with the sunroof I still had plenty of head room.
So there you have it, now for the 8 week wait, should be quite a nice Christmas present to myself. thanks for your time, Crazyeddie

I'm 6'3 and fit in the Camaro comfortably (no sunroof either). Congrats on your order! Pics when you pick hwr up

Congratz and enjoy the beastly 2SS!!! I can't get enough of mine, will be a year old next month and still feels so fresh and new.

I think you will like the car. My trip to the SS was much the same. I wanted a C7, but the 10 cents more practicality / day to day livability was a big factor. Keeping $15K in my pocket didn't hurt, either.

This Gen6 Camaro reminds me a lot of my C6 Vette Z51 (in a good way). The wait will be tough but worth it
