What to do with the orig exhaust?
I am putting on a cat back exhaust system Friday. Dont know what to do with the stock system. I have no room to store it. The owner of the place where the install will be said he will put it up on a big shelf with some other exhaust parts till I figure out what to do. Should I just pitch it? Try to sell it locally? Only has 1600 miles on it. What have you done with yours?

Yep scrapping it would be the easiest. But supposedly there is a high demand on steel or iron so you might wanna sell it.

I gave mine away to a guy who was de-modding his car to sell. I regretted getting rid of it on New Year's day when my friend who is a general manager at a Chevy dealer tells me he has two open allocations for a ZL1. For about the next week I was trying to decide what to do, my car was only 4 months old at that point and I already had everything in my signature installed plus custom painted stripes.
Afterwords I came to my senses and decided it wasn't worth the beating I would take. But I checked into finding a used LS3 exhaust and found Nickey Chevy had a bunch of takeoffs. They wanted $250 a piece and the guy told me they sell them to shops so that price was pretty much it. Funny thing I could barely give it away but somehow those guys found a market for them. I would say keep it if you can. You never know when that 2013/4 might sway you to make a move. If yours would have fit an LS3 I might have been calling you.

you know, in about 2-3 years when people start to replace the exhaust systems, they will be worth at least 50% of what new is. If I could find one to buy, I would save it for my next replacement.
If not, scrap it at least, enough stuff going in the landfill. Craigslist is your friend for getting rid of junk...just got rid of 10 gallons of used oil. Mention scrap metal for free, its like flie on shit to get it.

I would take it off your hands but we are too far away.
Don't throw it out.
