a turbo and a vortech with nitrogen assisted nitrous with methanol on 120 octane, with a CAI. Plus to make it more badass you run it in cold weather only.

No offense! But you want the biggest and baddest with little knowledge to back it up. I suggest you really find out what you're getting yourself into, before ending up in lots of nightmare!

Absolutely go the twin turbo route. Sky is the limit power wise. Have your mechanic ride with you. If he's not with you, at least have him on retainer.

Is this an ocassional toy just to take to the strip or a daily driver? Makes a huge difference. Lingenfelter offers twin turbo packages out to 800 hp, you can drive their work daily without problems(runs about 65k). You can go with a lot of different other mods but they all have tradeoffs at the extreme levels.
Like Windy asked "whats your budget?"

550 is going to push the limits of the stock internals IMHO. You may also have to run higher octane gas than you can buy a station. Their are a lot of tuners that claim you can do it on stock internals with pump gas but I withhold my opinion til I see one of them go 30,000 miles without problems. In any case the TVS 2300 will get you there, but I dont think the stock clutch will be with you long, mine was stinking on a 3300 rpm launch.
I am doing the 650 hp package from LPE, they did all the internals, upgraded to a twin disk clutch, and HD half shafts. I am worried about the tranny so if it breaks I will beef it up. Waiting for an upgraded rear diff and drive shaft to become available, same for the Pedders coilovers.

TVS 2300 supercharger runs from $6500 to 8000 depending on who you get it from, installation extra. The tune is also a very important part of the upgrade, do your homework on that part as there are a lot of options. I also hear a lot of good things about ADM, just look around this board they are everywhere.

I would get in touch with Lingenfelter and see what they can do for you. Save up a lot before you're ready to talk to them.

I just took the time to read where your from, You cant go wrong with LPE they are the best! Besides the packages, they will do about any custom build. Then you can step on over and join the "Botherhood" on the LPE customer thread!

There is no right answer...lots of opinions...and there's always going to be a bigger/badder car around somewhere.

This should be a well thought out and researched decision on your part NOT a rushed/ASAP decision based on opinions on a message-board (some of which may be coming from people who have never owned a turbo or SC)...Best thing you can do is learn about both setups, costs, pros, cons, advantages, possible problems etc...speak to at least a few shops/installers/tuners to get their opinions on the best combo for how you're gonna use the car.

With either setup be ready to spend some $$ (DO NOT CUT ANY CORNERS) and be ready to break parts at some point if you plan on racing or beating the snot out of it.
