The ends might have gotten bent try bending them out with a mallet and see if that helps any, I had to do that with one of mine.

Well I tried that. The ends are ment to be flared, but I do not have a tool to flare them out. The thing is its like that for both MRT Mufflers. Im not sure what the deal is with these ones.

Try a large pair of vice grips, or channel locks, or large adjustable wrench to pry it back a 1/16" I know it is extremely hard to do as I had to do it on one of mine to. Other option is take it to a local muffler shop and have them flair it open. they have hydraulic tools that can do it easily.

Are those ends stainless steel? I talked with muffler guy and he said if it's stainless it would probably split

They are stainless. Are there slots cut in them? And even though it is stainless it can still be expanded some

They are not the same size. It seems like it but they are not. It is a very tight fit, I struggled with it for a while. Thought about giving up but kept working and finally got it. I did it all by myself but it might help you to have someone with you. File the ends that you sawed to get them as smooth as possible. Fit it as best you can, use force and turning motion and work it on there. I do not recommend any hammering with anything unless you can see something is clearly out if round.

It helped me to spray just a dab of WD-40 on the ends of mine. Then it slipped on, much easier.

I just used vice grips clamp tightening just moved it back In place but man whatdifference after that it was easy to install. They should say something about using vice grips or what not... They make it sound so easy.. Haha I love em I do notice the drone at 70+mph it bothers me some but I'm not worried about it

Buy the xpipe and some hush mats. Also after a month it levels out and sounds even better.

Stainless Works went from a X pipe to more of a H pipe as the harmonics are worse with the X pipe.

I think backing into my carpool's drive for four years flexing the X pipe broke mine. His driveway was too steep to pull in and I scrapped the first and only time I pulled in. A muffler shop should know what to do, but I agree, it should have been mentioned before purchase.

To expand the ends to the MRTs, I just stuck a larger flat head screw driver in the slots that are cut on either end and hit it with the hammer.
