Ok, let's try this one more time. MN6 is a generic transmission code that all GM 6-speed manual cars get. It does not refer to a specific transmission. It will be followed by another "M" code, on the service identification label, that will identify the specific transmission that your car has. On my SS it's MN6 followed by M10. MN6 means that it it's a 6-Speed manual car and M10 means that it's a Tremec TR6060. On a ZL1, it would be MN6, followed by MG9. If you've dug into this enough to pull MN6 out of the RPO list, go back and pull the next "M" code off of the list and then you will know which MN6 transmission that you are getting. I know that the 2014's are not in production yet and I do not know if they've made any changes to the V6 transmissions, but I do know what MN6 means. It means that when your car shows up, it will have a clutch pedal and 6 forward gears, and nothing else. I'm not trying to tell you that your car is not getting a TR6060, just that until you get the next code, no-one knows what you're getting.

Not saying they are wrong, but GM customer service isn't always the best source of accurate information.

Are you sure you got him? Hes saying you need to look again at the order sheet and search for the next codes after MN6....have you had a chance to do that?

RPO Code:MN6
GEAR RATIOS First 2.66 Second 1.78 Third 1.30 Fourth 1.00 Fifth 0.80 Sixth 0.63 Reverse 2.90
TORQUE CONVERTER Maximum Engine Torque (lb-ft/N-m)551/743.85
LUBRICANT CAPACITY (pints/litre) Fluid Capacity 4/1.8928
MAX GVW(lbs/kg)4255/1930.068
please read this again... the only and i mean only rpo code that came up was MN6 and no other code after that... so that got me wondering! REMEMBER: I HAD A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME TO CHANGE TO AN AUTOMATIC IF I WANTED TOO! so i went over to the online order guide and looked up MN6... IT ALLOWED ME TO CLICK ON IT AND THIS IS WHAT IT BROUGHT UP (SEE ABOVE DESCRIPTION)... SO YES I GOT HIM AND I AM WITH HIM ON THIS BUT I CANT TELL YOU ANY MORE THAN THIS... IF I COULD POST MY ORDER SHEET I WOULD... I AM STILL WORKING ON IT... I HAVE READ THIS SHEET 10 TIMES AND IT SAYS ONLY MN6... HE SAYS THAT THAT IS A GENERIC CODE FOR THE 6 SPD MANUAL. I UNDERSTAND THAT...

SORRY FOR THE CAPS...

but as you can see i hit 3000 status today so what ever is going in it is going in it... lol...

It's cool dude, I wasn't trying to get on your case. I just wasn't sure if you understood or not. It's very confusing the way GM does things sometimes. I'm taking it, that at this point, you don't have access to the other RPO codes yet. If that's true, until you get the next "M" code, it's anybody's guess what transmission you're getting. I'm sure that there is some engineer at GM, who knows exactly what they're going to use, but unless he's on Camaro5, see's this thread and replies, we're still guessing.

Even my '96 LT4 Corvette has that MN6 RPO code for the 6-speed.
But as mentioned, there is also another RPO code for the actual transmission version.
ML9 for the ZF6 6-speed in the case of my '96 Corvette
