My car build status has been at 1100 since 7/31/2012, so maybe the wheel unavailablity is a possible reason for the delay. |

It might be easier to get the black wheels if you want those. They have to make the black wheels for SS 1le's as well. So they probably make more of those.

I wish the ZL1 fascia was not interchangable/compatible with other models.

Most of these wheels are made in China, so GM may have some issues with them coming from overseas.

I also have heard a lot of the wheels were made in China. Heck, is any the ZL1 made in the US?

That is one main thing I really dislike about all 5gens none are made in the USA...and a lot of parts are not made in the USA either.....so they are not really American cars anymore :(

I see this as a plus.

How is that a plus? Don't get me wrong I love the car just wish it would support America more when we bought one.

Sorry to say, but there are a bunch of them around and more owners doing conversions I'd be one if I were still getting a 2ss but the R/T suited my everyday life better. Love that ZL1 Look and know a guy local that have a 2ss/RS with the ZL1 Conversion, even the Steering Wheel & pushing over 580rwhp

Almost three weeks now, still waiting on my back-ordered black rim. Appears that all the wheel choices are on back-order. Still running on a plugged tire so I'm waiting and waiting to open her up a little bit. Don't want to risk it on a plugged tire. Hasn't lost any tire pressure whatsoever, but a blow out at high speed...no thanks.
