Replacement stock filters with the Maggie ?
I’m currently @530rwhp, 540tq, approx. 7.5psi, IDC 65%, using Dynojet @ 32°C ~ 90°F with the below mods for my 2011 SS A6:
TVS2300 with standard 3.8’’ pulleys OD Ribbed Cogs L99 to LS3 Coversion Kit (DOD/VVT Delete) GT-11 Cam Kit Stainless Power LT Headers Stock LS3 Factory Catback. ZL1 Fuel Pump FAST 85lb/hr (892.5 cc/min) Injectors I’m currently running the factory’s stock airbox, and I’m not planning to change it to another CAI system as I don’t want to increase my boost level anymore. I don’t want to go more than 9psi to be safe, and not to face belt slip and change the sparks and other related items. My goal is roughly around 550rwhp so I somewhat achieved my goal. However, I’ve been recommended to go for those replacement filters that fit directly in the factory’s airbox for better performance, less restriction and to allow the car to breathe better. 1. I have 2 brands in my mind right now, the K&N(oiled) and the AFE Pro Dry S. Might go for the AFE as they are good for humid, hot, dry and dusty conditions we live in the summer. Are there any other brands you recommend? 2. Upon replacement, would I need a tune? A dyno tune? What do you recommend? Thank you all for your advanced feedback.
