Has anybody tried the Stillen J- Hook rotors? If so can you provide feedback on them.

I definitely recommend them if you do a lot of aggressive driving and braking. Check out this article from Road & Track. Most of the ALMS GT race cars are running our J-Hook rotors so the proof is in the pudding. Make sure you are also running our upgraded pads, stainless braided lines and AP brake fluid to take full advantage of these rotors. If you have any other questions please feel free to email me at JamesO@stillen.com.

James offers the AP Racing system with 16" front and 15" rear rotors, if that is what you are referring to?

This is currently being studied. More details will be released when available. That said, is there anything in particular you'd like to see in an upgrade?

What about J-Hook two-piece rotors?

It's been talked about and certainly possible. However, doing it properly is more expensive than the cheap solution currently on the market. We're not yet convinced that enough people will pay more and not just move up to a complete big brake system (just as we've seen in other markets). Since there is a new AP Racing system coming soon (to fit 18" track wheels and the OE 20's), our efforts have been concentrated on that solution. However, if enough people were to commit to 2-piece J-Hook rotors for the SS Brembos, we would respond. Any rotor upgrade for the CTS-V calipers will be 2-piece by default.

Note quite sure what you mean by a 16, 15 combo. Could you please give me some more details?

Yes. I mean the J hook style rotor in a 16", 15" combo. I have the AP 16/15 setup now. See Pic. Thanks.

Very nice! No J-Hook rotors as of yet for the AP kits. I'll keep you updated once I get more information from our brake guru Chris_B.
