Gulp! ....but I just paid $1100 for the P Zero 305s.
Hey, did you make it to the "digs" (Milan Dragway) that week end you asked me if I was interested in going? Alfie (Mariano)

Aren't the stock wheels 8 inch width in front and 9 inch width in rear, not 9 and 10.5 like you stated? The reason I ask is that a 275 tire requires a 9 to 11 inch wheel and a 305 tire requires a 10.5 to 11.5 inch wheel. THe 275 is as wide as one should go on the stock 9 inch rear wheel to maintain proper tire shape.

Perhaps the larger tires on the front have a greater rolling resistance. If the fronts are now harder to roll, could make the rears break traction more easily?

Less psi creates more friction of the tire to the pavement as it contours to the surface. Optimal psi for traction would be to lower psi and gradually increase to the point where you get tire spin then back down a bit. This is at the cost of lower mpg and increased tirewear, so at some point you need to compromise.
Increasing psi will make you spin more and have less traction. Is the offset of the new wheels correct for the Camaro? Is your new tire/ wheel combo heavier than stock? Are you experiencing wheel hop? Alignment? Some other factors to consider. |

The old rear 275/40 tires were mounted on the new 9" wheels and are now on the front, and the new 305/35 tires were mounted on the 10.5" wheels for the rear. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my OP. Alfie

No... I got real sick and was in bed the whole weekend. Looks like I am going to have to wait until spring now. That 3rd baby should be here any day, so the last place I want to be is two hours away drag racing when I get the call her water broke.
