I love the sound and look of the muffler delete on my 2010 SS. People ask what exhaust package I'm running when they hear it. Sounds great, IMO. One of the best and cheapest mods you can do to improve the exhaust tone. Two words: DO IT

Only person I ever had tell me that they didn't like my straight pipe was a friend of mine with an ls3 camaro that paid over 1K for a big name catback and they sounded nearly the same ...
I have since added longtube headers with no cats, still sounds perfectly great to me

I did the muffler delete and I got so sick of the drone! It was bad from 1900 to 2200 rpm's. At first I thought I would get used to it because the sound was so much better over stock but after some time I just didn't like it. So I went full headers and cb system and now I'm a happy camper.

This was my second mod had tint first. To me it was a great improvement over the stock sound without being too loud. It makes a nice rumble and I get a little bit of decel pop which I actually like. I went with Doug thorley muffler delete pipes. FYI, if you go this route take the pipes in and get the ends flared out so they can actually fit over the stock exhaust because the way they come they will never fit. Also, on the l99 you will diffently want to tune out AFM or get a Range AFM delete device as it sounds horrible when it kicks in and muffler delete makes it sound worse.

NOT TOO LOUD ,if you have the stock factory cats and exhaust manifolds ,best way to get better sound cheap and loose 40 pounds. And if you believe Chevrolet's claim on the NPP duel mode 4 to 6 hp more.

Follow-up Questions
I noticed a couple of questions in this thread weren't answered & I'm wondering about them too.
Will the muffler delete cause issues for those of us who must pass emission testing? For L99 owners who did the muffler delete, how significant is the drone?

Paid just under $100 to get it done. I have the ls3 and it's definitely not to loud. To be honest I thought it would be louder. Like someone mentioned before the cats and resonators quite it down so much the muffler delete is not a big deal. Sounds great, looks better and saves weight. Oh yeah... saves money on an expensive axle back.
