My guess is 17 as the standard and 18's as the optional wheels.

I would love if 20s were an option.

I really hope that 18's are the largest size or the 20's are just an option, otherwise finding drag radials is gonna be a pain.

I'd be happy with the 20s that we've seen in spyshots. I'm liking more and more wheels that GM's come out with in the last few years. I kinda' doubt we'll see much bigger wheels than are offered on the 'Vette though. I don't think it comes with 20s though, even the ZR1, so maybe I'm way off. Regardless, I think 17s will be standard, and 20s on V8s. The wider the better

Either 18" all around, or 18" front/19" rear is about the biggest I'd care for. Bigger wheels = more weight, less acceleration, more cost to replace, stiffer ride, poorer handling... just not worth it, imo.

Same size rims all the way around has some nice advantages, so I'd say between 18" and 20" for all 4 would be fine.

Increased rotational mass is something to consider as well, so whatever matched set tire/rim combo nets the best balance of street performance, ride, noise, clearance, and tread-wear. Larger rims can have diminishing returns.

Another thing to consider is availability of good tires in a particular size.

Some data from tirerack.com:

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

Size: 245/35ZR20 $269
Size: 275/45ZR20 $229
Size: 305/35ZR20 $452

Size: 245/40ZR18 $201
Size: 275/40ZR18 $293

Size: 245/40ZR17 $177
Size: 275/40ZR17 $212

Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico
Size: 275/45VR22 $239

Yeah, but those GSD3s a super expensive. I won't argue they aren't a way superior tire, to say Summitomos, however, the price of the tires should be considered in this option; absoutely.

I'd take 17's if they offered them. typically less weight and less cost. Also have to account for snow tires for me.

From the spy shots, they look like 20's according to Road & Track--big but not too big and the same size to rotate to all four corners.

True. I'm interested in finding out exactly which model they were testing. It seems to me it's too early to be showing their hands with the HO model, so assuming a base V8 would get 20s, who's to say the HO model wouldn't get something bigger? They've done that with the Z06 and ZR1. I'm not so sure I'd favor huge wheels, though, at the expense of weight for looks.
