car shakes a little when parked is this normal?
I have a 2014 Camaro LT that I purchased brand new about 3 weeks ago. Lately I've noticed this little shake I guess in the motor and it is stronger initially when the car is turned on but you can always feel it when it's on park. I don't know how to explain it but it's like the car is fine for a couple seconds and then a little tremble happens and then fine again and then another tremble.
Is this normal for these cars? Most newer cars that I've been in you can barely even feel that the car is on so I don't know if this is just a camaro thing because it's more powerful? thanks |

My SS does it, but that's because it has a huge engine. Never driven a V6

My V6 2LT with M/T I had did not shake at all at idle.
I traded it for a 2SS with M/T and it does have a little shake at idle.

My car seems to run a bit rough on cold starts but only when I'm running 87 gasoline. I run 91 most of the time and never noticed anything since then

On my ss yeah, it shakes a lot compared to a lot of other cars. I work at a dealership and have driven a lot of the v6 models and I can say they do slightly but nowhere near as bad as the 6.2l. Now compare the v6 camaro and the 370z, the camaro feels like it has a lot more shake to it. |

you may have a bad cold start injector. does it happen when the car is hot? Or do you have a malfunction light on anywhere?

Can't say I could feel the vibrations just sitting in the seat - but you can definately see/feel it in the shifter nob on my 2LT/RS M6 (Direct connection to the engine 4TW)
The car will always high idle on a cold start and be more loud / vibrate more - takes about 30 seconds to go down to low idle, at which point you cant feel or hear anything really (stock mufflers are way to quiet!) |

Did you buy your car new? Kinda sounds like the ghost cam you can add via tune.

My guess is fuel evap canister getting purged. It purges the fumes for a few seconds then closes the valve, causing rough running sometimes when it is sucking in the fumes. In other words it is normal. My SS does it also.
