Al O comments on E-Brake

something like "It's going to allow us to do other things in the future..."

like what, line lock?

Title should say Electronic E-Brake", but oh well.

Go watch the video again!!

he was talking about taking out the parking brake handle and replacing it with the push button e-brake freeing up room for them to more with in the future.

This has been discussed in other threads already and didn't need its own as well.

it would be nice to see Line Lock since the GT w/ Performance Package has it

No, Al said the e brake will be used for different things in the future. Watch it again

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=419653

13:52 mark of that video:

"We've gone to an electric park brake that will enable some things in the future that we can use..." "AND quite frankly....to free up room"

They already freed up the room, no need to talk about the room that is currently freed up in terms of the future. He's talking about other things in the future that this will enable them to do, so i ask...what are the possibilities? Line Lock, is my guess, but i don't really know much about those systems other than you can buy them aftermarket and they lock the fronts up etc.

Minor corrections, it's not part of the PP, all the manuals Mustang GT's have it.

I get that the electronic ebrake frees up cables, etc. But if I was getting a manual, I think it would be really weird not have that handle near the stick.

Actually all GT's with either auto or manual get line lock.
Launch control only comes with the manual.
