stupid mistake on my part, but has anyone done this?

So i ordered my car without a sunroof thinking i wouldn't fit. The car i sat in today had a sunroof and i fit just fine. My order already has a TPW of 10/31 but i was hoping it would be possible to add a sunroof option. Has anyone ever done this after they placed the order? I'm gonna call my dealer tomorrow to see what i can find out. I'm pretty sure it's too late but i'm hoping its not!

Pretty sure it's too late, but wouldn't hurt to call and find out.

If it's a sale-able car, doesn't have any really wacky color combinations, they might just be able to throw it on the lot and order you another one. You'd probably lose a deposit in the deal if you put one down because now the dealer has to soak up the admin costs and deal with a potentially unexpected vehicle to sell.

I really don't think it's a big deal, not to me anyway. I really dislike sunroofs that don't retract IN to the roof, and having owned t-top cars in the past, a sunroof just isn't the same thing...

On the bright side, at least you keep the reverse mohawk.

I wanted to change my interior from black to gray when mine was still at 1100. No dice. Glad they didn't, turned out I like the black much better.

Call your dealer. As long as it's not in production yet they should be able to make changes. At least they could on my truck and Camaro but they are v8's. Good luck

I agree with 1BADLS3 as long as it is saleable just go in at the end of the month and tell them
You can't wait and ask them to search for a like car. My guess is they will be happy to book
A deal now instead of waiting. Goodluck! I go to order on the 19th.

If you want to get technical, have you bought the car yet? If not you could still walk away.

It's not yours until you sign the dotted line.

If you want a sunroof then order another one. Even though it will suck to wait longer, in the long run you'll be happier and not second guessing yourself for not getting the sunroof.

If I were you, I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a car that didn't have everything I wanted on it. I went through quite a bit to get mine just the way I wanted it, even though I was forced to buy one out of a showroom 500 miles away. They stopped taking orders for IBM 3 days before I went to the dealership. This was around the time the earthquake in Japan happened. Like stieger said, it's not technically yours yet...

I did the same thing with the hurst shifter. Couldn't find a car that had one to try out, so i ordered mine without it. A week later i get a chance to drive one, but the order had already reached 3100...too late.
