315's and a drop?

Well, I have TSW Nurburgring rims with a 275/315 setup. That being said, is it possible to go with a 1.5 in drop without rubbing on bumps and aggressive turns? When I look at the car I feel like it would rub, but I would like to see who may have the answer from personal experience. If it is as close as I think it is, should I wait to get a suspension until it is time to change the rubber then go to a 305? Thanks for the help.

I have theTSW Nurburgrings also. I think that would be close. I have looked and considered the same thing, but was thinking of doing a 305. I love my TSW's, but because of this I wish I would have went with a wheel with a better offset. I just feel like these wheels limit you so much unless you are sticking with the stock tire size. By the way... do you have any pics you could post of your wheels with the 315's? Do you have a 10 inch wheel in the rear?

I do have a 10 in wheel in the rear and I have some pics but I am out of the country without my computer at the moment. I will post them right here when I get home. I have been thinking about selling my rims for the reasons you mentioned as well as others. We shall see how it works out.

I am very interested in this also! I would like to go with the 10" Nurburgrings but I want to be able to use a 315 rear tire like the Nitto Invo's! There's one vendor here who sells that setup but everyone else says it's a no no! The recommended rim for 315's is 11" with 10.5 being minimum!

The tires fit rather well on the rim even though it is recommended to have at least a 10.5. I was told the Nitto run a bit smaller so it isnt as bad, however I have the Conti DWS tires on mine. I have ZERO issues with mine, however the drop is a bit nerve racking to think about.

The wheels are actually decently inexpensive compared to a lot of others. But I am glad you like them!

Let me know if you decide to sell them! Are they matte black?

Will do. They are considered Matte Gunmetal. However, they look black which is one of the other reasons I am thinking about selling them. I was hoping for a bit more gunmetal to match my stripes.

My buddy has a 1" drop and his running 315's on the back and if I remember correctly on hard bumps he said that the Tires do rub on the wheel wel. but his tires stick out a bit on the side. maybe that could be the reason that his tires rub on the wheel wel.

I have a 1" drop, running 20 x 11 wheels, with 315's Pirelli PZero Rosso's and they will rub if you hit a big bump, especially if the car is loaded down at all. I'm not sure I would go any lower with than 1" with 315's.

I think theres a member here (SUX2BU) running 315's on the back with a 1.4" drop. and his pretty knowledgeable with Wheels and Tire fitments.

He'll be here soon. he could answer you questions.

Tires make a difference too, 315 Nitto's are smaller than the 315 Pirelli's I have, so shouldn't have an issue with Invo's and a wheel with the correct offset.
