Not sure if it's high because I had a lot less options on mine. Just check what invoice is for your specific package. That info is real easy to get.

Not too far. I hear you and frankly I could have walked out tonight but wanted to talk some more with wife. Toughest part is that I just paid off the current one and we just moved into a new house. Bottom line is that I really want the car. I'm trying to be pragmatic.....tough when its a car you've wanted for a while.

I really want my note to be 450-475 for 60mos. Deal they were talking was 508. Just have to put down 3k instead of 1500. My girls loved the car but my 8yo said, 'Dad I really like the Camaro but I'll miss the room in your old car (4door 335). ^ those are the killers for me-my girls trump most everything nowadays even though we bought the wife a new SUV last Dec.

i think there is a website.. car.com or something that compares a car you are looking at and shows the pricing in the area. more of what everyone else is paying. used it when i got mine about a year ago.

its only to much if you cant reasonably afford it. over a normal ss. paid? not sure. gl.

I would also highly suggest to negotiate based off total cost and not monthly payments. Find the best price then the best rate!

The 1LE dealer pre-orders are to get money and nothing else, it doesn't sound like they are considering performance when ordering them that way. I would recommend a custom order and get what you want. Ask around, the best 1LE is the 1SS with no RS package and it will come in about $4500 less.

Definitely get the NPP option exhaust and backup camera with the 1SS, they are a must.

Ditto on the credit union thing as well, that helps.
No they do it because most people want leather interior in their car. Which adds little to no weight. People don't only want a high performing car, but one that is nice on the inside as well. If it's gonna be my daily driver, it's going to have a nice interior, not cloth lol.

I would also highly advise against the sunroof option. It doesn't leave a lot of head room and depending on how tall you are can make wearing a helmet in the car a challenge or an impossibility.

I'm 5-9 and no sunroof makes the claustrophobic IMO.

Well, duh... The 'where do you want to be' discussion is silly. I own my car outright. Any monthly payment is too high. At some point you want buy the car or not.

Hey Wahoo,
I hope this helps answer your question: I ordered my 14 1LE 2SS RS NPP, no sunroof, last month. Based on your quote, I would say you're 'bout $4k too high. I was also able to include the $750 USAA discount mentioned earlier by Msmal, which helps. Good luck!

Way too high of a price, I am paying just over $42k for a 2SS/RS 1LE with NPP and Recaros. Go to TrueCar and pull the pricing from there and have the dealer match that or find a dealer that will match that price.

If no recaros, then price is about 4k too high. Invoice price ad others have said is your target.

Truecar was the site.

Invoice price isn't what dealers pay.
There's MSRP
Then Invoice
Then there's advertising, holdback and a few other miscellaneous charges below invoice that get you to dealer cost.
And as far as dealer ads complete scam. Do not pay for nitrogen tires or any of that. I was a Chevy salesman I know all about that.
