ZL1 Strut Tower brace install, HELP!
what modifications are required for a zl1 strut tower brace to fit a 2010 camaro ss ls3? I have a brace on the way and trying to get an idea of what needs done before it gets here. Also i have an aftermarket hood that will provide plenty of clearance.

Gonna be honest, after looking through some of the threads it would seem that you don't need shims. I'd wait for someone with the ZL1 brace to chime in, I ordered the BMR one.

The ZL1/1LE/convertible strut tower brace WILL NOT fit on 2010 (and early 2011) Camaros. GM changed the design of the strut tower during the middle of the 2011 model year.
The adapter kit posted above will allow you to install a GM strut tower brace on your 2010 but I would get an aftermarket brace instead. There are plenty of aftermarket companies that offer a brace specifically for the 2010 Camaros. I've seen pictures of a GM brace installed on 2010's using the adapter kit and it looks funny (just my opinion). Since you have a supercharger, I'd get the Hotchkis brace. It is designed to clear superchargers. Sorry for the bad news but you should sell the GM brace and get an aftermarket brace instead.
