Man you did get lucky , did you feel it when you were running? Glad nothing blew on you .What size are those tires , and what is your everyday tire size?

Same tire Pirelli's just bigger. 295/40 rear - 265/45 front w/ 9.5x20 front and 10.5x20 rear Wheels. I think they're great for the road. Last longer than most and still have the performance. But for the track they just dont hold up to good. I was running them hard too.

Nice pics, Slick....Can't wait for the videos...Think I was in your group (blue)....

Man...those tires...lol....I ran my stock Pirelli's at that track...but they didn't come out looking like that....lol....

It's a lot of extra expense and work, but I'm more comfortable with a set for just the track...

Yea going that route. Put up a post yesterday for some opinions of which one. Going towards the Nitto or Toyo. Any suggestions. Running stock 20in rims for track.

I went with R888s on a 19 square set up....If you're staggered with 20s not sure what's available in R compounds that are different sizes....(you want the same diameter all around or you go hay-wire with the stabilitrak)...

Yea i've heard that before. My tires i run daily are 2 sizes up from stock but are within 3/8'' on diameter from front to back. Never had a issue and 2 years on the same set. The R888's have a stagger set size and are within a 1/4'' of each other so i'm leaning to those. i think 315/30 rear and 285/35 front.

I've run twice on my R888s and think I'm gonna stay with them....I think I'll get a lot of track days out of a set....

...Yeah, if you can find the sizes that work, that's half the battle...lol...

Good luck, I think it's a smart move...
