14-15 ss vs new stang ?

Been looking around for videos to see how our aging 5th generation fairs against the new heavier mustang on the strip and track . (I can't find any vids ) . I'm thinking the stang still wins but by how much stock for stock or just minor mods. Anyone have vids or Intel /experience ??

Nope camaro takes it both at the track and drag now. (That being said if both are good drivers)Seen a lot of videos on YouTube and some on here! If you search a little harder you will find videos

Are you sure if both mods and drivers are equal ? That would be a step back for ford lol

Yep I am sure they had a video of a side by side comparison on the track and the camaro won by a one or two seconds if my memory serves me right. I will try to find the video. And I saw a couple videos online from the drag. Ford took a step back but it there first year using IRS. So give them time for performance but the interior is really nice.

I roll raced one in my'14SS (sedan that is). I had headers and cold air and pulled him about 2 cars. In an all stock vs stock race the L99 might lose and the LS3 is gonna have to bang every gear correctly to get the edge. Either way let us know how it turns out.

Everyone seems to under estimate the L99. A automatic can handle a stick or auto 15 mustang.

At least two 2015 Mustangs with 3.55s and automatics have run as fast as 12.50 seconds at right around 113mph full weight on stock tires.

Do you think that it's a driver race between a Camaro and mustang?

Unless you are some sort of drag racing professional, you won't be shifting faster than the auto

Who said anything about shifting faster? The Manual Camaro must be slower than the auto because:

On the fast list L99 is competive but a bit slower than LS3 stock, but I assume the guys in the fast list are better than average. With bolt on's the L99 holds the top three spots. I'd have to say it comes down to driver. Less than VERY good the LS3 is even or behind. IMHO

My intake header Tune 2010 L99 Went up against a guy i know at my local gym.

"At the track"

2011 Coyote with intake, cat delete, exhaust, and tune. Went at it twice and i took him and pulled both times 2-3 cars. Once from a dig and once from a roll.

L99's stock before the fuse pull is a REALLY slow car.

Fuse pull + a few boltons and its a completely different car.

Send the car into a good tuner for some dyno time and you will surprise a lot of people when they find out its automatic.
