2012 S/C'd SS Camaro vs... S/C'd SRT8 Challenger, Moded C6 Vette, HPE650 videos!

ok guys, was supposed to race a 2014 mustang who was an acquaintance from high school, however he was a no show and told his gramps he was having issues with his muffler (damn muffler bearings got another ford owner).

Anyways, i got to race his grampa (who is very consistent with his Supercharged 2012 SRT8 Challenger).

Oh, and my 4 year old (to be) son got to run once with the track manager to get the experience for his birthday (in 2 weeks, but they won't be open then).

DA Calc shows 3920

Me vs moded C6 Vette (vette had LTH, x-pipe, intake, exhaust, tune and drag radials) - LISTEN CLOSELY TO THE TOWER'S COMMENT ABOUT THE VETTE SHOWING ME HOW IT'S DONE when we line up! lol

Note: look at my pretty dang good reaction time, right? lol

1000: 10.211
1/4: 12.154 @ 116.34mph

me vs Challenger again
I HAD HIM! however, i ran out of gas at the end of the track and it looks like at about the 1/8th mile mark, heat soak got the best of me from doing 3 hot laps before this race and him sitting for an hour. but a loss is a loss - he did ask what happened though, so he knew something was up when he passed me)

Note: look at my pretty dang good reaction time, right? lol

1/4: 13.777 @ 102.99

Me vs HPE650
and NO Video unfortunately it became corrupted when trying to transfer it from the phone to computer, however i came across a rare Hennessy HPE650 2010 Camaro so i ran up and asked if he'd run me... he babied it (unfortunately), however look at his time from the 1/8th to the 1/4 ending.. oh, he was on street tires, so maybe he just spun really bad

Me
R/T: -.121
60: 1.962
330: 5.370
1/8: 8.108 @ 90.00

1/4: 13.708 @ 110.16

and then, my son's experience! (which i thought was pretty cool of them - they couldn't let me take him due to insurance reasons on their end, so they offered to take him (and I) in their company truck and give him the full blown tour.

I think i was behind you at the tech station! I saw yours a few times, because we had a 2010 white with black stripes Camaro first then got our 2012... and yes, the HPE was babying it unfortunately... 12.2 for the hpe650 package is pretty good for street tires in that heat! i'd bet he could do a lot better with radials or cooler weather.

there was a 1LE there that was running 13.4 @ 107, so 13.006 isn't bad!

I wanted to break into 11's and i think if it wasn't so hot, i would have had an 11.9 run that day... i prepped like crazy to do so lol. i took out any loose object for weight, i aired up the front tires to 41psi, dropped the rears to 19psi, washed the car, vacuumed it all out, took out the sub, physically took out my son's car seat and placed it in the stands.. i took off my S/C'r covers, let sit for 45 minutes before running.. but no luck ha

all that weight savings allowed me to continue to hit 12.2, just in near 100* weather.
