The color is not mismatched. The different angles between the door panel and rear quarter panel are causing the metal flake in the paint to reflect the light differently. You think Chevy is going to put out a Pace Car version of their newest muscle car and have the paint not match??

Camaro does need a good blue right now though. Whatever this color is I think it's a great option. I just wonder what they woudl do for the hood insert on the zl1. Not sure how this would look with a black or carbon hood insert.

It looks a lot like the color of my GTO which is Impulse Blue Metallic. Love the color what ever it is. I hope it makes it to production on all models of the Camaro. I have been missing a nice light metallic blue since they got rid of ABM.

I've always thought the same thing. It's the worst color for showing this Camaro design flaw.
The lighter the color the less this door to 1/4 mismatch shows.
A better blue would be the 60's Chev Silver Blue imo.

That color looks awesome, the Camaro needs a great looking blue, it would be nice if they offered this color as a '13 color. I would order it on my '13 ZL1 vert in a hearbeat, especially if they offered that color combo in a vert.
All it would need to be perfevt then would be a nice set of wheels, and a slightly lower stance.
Chevy, build it and it will sell!

If anyone at race is able, write down VIN number, is probably the ZL1 test mule we all saw prior to real ZL1 was issued. Remember Scott's Thor gets updates, They like to say medium blue will not sell, while the Chevrolet New Entry Portal and a Blue band wraps all new dealerships, maybe they are afraid of a blue oval.
Remember the ABM was not even to be released on SS models in 2010, only 2027 built as SS.

Agree...even if it isn't ABM...it doesn't matter...its as close to ABM you can get and it it doesn't have the 'teal' look that makes it even better.

I think they should make this color available....even though it will make my ABM seem less rare if there are 2013+ models running around with basically the same color .... I will admit..I like the exclusiveness of my ABM

I agree...could just be the old test mule, but if it REALLY is not ABM then it must not be one of the old test mules.

ehhh, but you guys are nuts. First off, the color matches perfectly across the car....there used to be debates about this early on when some cars seems to have a different hue from the metal to plastic parts, but trust me when i say ABM matches perfectly everywhere.

Secondly, one of the top reasons ABM is so loved is because of its metallic nature which makes it pop under the right lighting. It enables you to easily see the different angles of the car, and in my opinion really appreciate the design of the car. I have nothing against the other colors, but some of them just don't show off the Camaro curves quite like the metallics do.
