Zl1mudgruards and Michelin pilot sports , now that issue solved

I still love the car , but are the gm engineers blind? Or is it the bean counters???
All good info, thanks. Personally, I think it's not the engineers. GM is acting really weird from the top these days.

What trans oil should I change to in my 1LE? I was thinking about having the dealership change it now that I have a little over 1200 miles on my car. I already separated the clutch res.

The temps are 15 to 20 degrees cooler ,going to put 180 t stat back in in the fall
Fitment was amazing, very quick cool down on the hwy , it just dissipates heat so much better and has more volume,and looks fantastic $1200retail,yeah I know , we pay $1015 if anyone wants one ,pm me directly
****note our 1LE's require Their ZL1 rad due to the .625 inch oil cooler pipe hose connection, this is only on the 2014 as GM changed the hose set up and upper rad hose assembly from 2013
I will log some temps , oil and coolant during different conditions and post results

If you look under our cars you can see the engine oil cooler , trans cooler all run thru the stk rad, over taxing it , gm must think the hotter they run the less they will pollute
Kinda reminds me of the older Porsche 928's ive worked on, huge issues there too, funny that they figured it out and the later 928 gets had separate coolers



I use their rads on some of the Acura NSX's I service,

Mobil one ATF, I'm going to try Hondas ATF next as a test mule

Had the same problem with mine. They replaced the same parts runs great now but like others have stated make sure you put it in second all the way. I haven't had a grind since ...

Irritatingly, I'm starting to get a quick grind in 3rd now. This makes me think the problem has been the clutch all along. But we'll see.

i have put about 1000+ miles since the fix... and its running strong.. chirps second and third... imo its driving like a 1le should now.. but for sure im doing all the mods mentioned here..

UPDATE:

More has started to go wrong on my 1le and it looks like GM and my dealership will be working together to get it solved for me.

It looks like there are 3 possibilities.

1) They perform some sort of voodoo to fix the problem. Least likely as no one can figure out what the actual problem IS.

2) They do something called "good faith" trade where they get me into another Camaro or GM car.

3) They just let me out of my lease.

Frankly, I'm kinda hoping for #3 as the last 5 months have really been an uphill battle and it's kind of killed a lot of my interest in owning a performance car. I'd like to just take the bus for a few years :P

Either way, so far GM and Mildenberger Motors have been super helpful and I have faith that we'll come to an agreement that makes everyone pretty happy.

Getting noisier and noisier. More clunking from the clutch and it grinds during acceleration from 1k to 3k in 1st - 3rd. NOT shifting, but acceleration. Also, it just starting doing this weird thing where it clunks REALLY loudly and feels as though it slips out of gear in 1st. So I'll be pulling out of a parking lot and "CLUNK" then a quick drop in power.

Everyone is perplexed.
