BMR or Hotchkis 1" Drop Springs

Like the title says looking to drop my car 1". What do you guys have or recommend? Not interested in going lower than an inch.

Thanks

Ronnie

Both are good quality springs and will improve the look and handling of your Camaro, but my opinion is the Hotchkis has much better ride quality.
You cant go wrong with either on.

Are you after looks or performance also? If it's just looks you can go with almost anyones and be happy. But if its performance stick with a big name so she sits level. I'd do sway bars also. They make a big difference with body roll. I think APEX is having a sale on everything your referring too )

Humm... I'm also looking to lower my 2011 2SS 1 in. Doing the FE4 update with swaybars, trailing arms/bushings. Like to keep some ride quality as I DD this. Was considering the BMRs.

Thanks!

My car rides on a Hotchkis stage 2 package. I'm not only impressed with the handling but with the ride quality. Very nice setup IMO.

1" BMRs on mine -- really lke the look/profile of the SS now.

I'll add a pic after the cruise today...

Has anyone else notice a bit more gap under the Strut tower covers after lowering 1"?

@ the cruise today, there were others who lowered and they had the gap also. I would assume that is to be expected.

Yep. Hotchkis have a nice ride but the drop in back was only 3/4" vs 1" in front so there was a small rake to the look

Hotchkis and BMR springs 1" springs are both great options. Go with BMR for a more level stance and Hotchkis if you like a slight rake.

Hotchkis 1" coils on my 1LE. The front and rear only dropped 5/8" initially. This seems to be common with the 1LE's and the ZL1's. I did re-measure about 2 months after the install but it remained at the 5/8" f/r.

After the addition of subs and 4 gallons of meth in the trunk, the rear now sits at exactly 1" lower than stock.
After the addition of the whipple, the front sits at 1 1/16" lower than stock in the front.

The Hotchkis kit worked for me. The picture was taken at the 5/8" lowered height.

Rides as good as stock.

Just finshed the BMR adjustable trailing arms/bushing -- very sporty ride now. Did have to get a hydro spreader to spread the opening up as they were 3/16 of an inch too narrow. Once that was done -- dropped right in.

The BUSHING take a bit more work as you really need to drop the lower control arm and cut the rubber outer edge of the OEM bushing. Simple 3/8 allthread and a pvc end cap with a sleeve and she popped right out.

Thanks to JDP Tyler for all the help!

Next, FE4 update (LCA, Sway Bar Links, and BMR Rear Sway bar!)

Drooling now
