Is it me or does it look like the LS3 Camaro may be able to take on a GT500 stock for stock. The 4.6 sec has been confirmed and we are 99.999999% certain that the LS3 will do AT LEAST a 12.9 sec quarter mile. Just let car and driver get ahold of the LS3 Camaro and we will see it's true potential.

Very nice! Why don't you add some pricing in the mix to make it even sweeter.

Just modified with pricing, the Camaro will hopefully be 10k less and come extremely close to outperforming both!!!

You put some stickier tires on that 500 and we're going to be in trouble though. That car is pushing what, probably another 50 horse' to the tire (just a guess ) and that's before adding a pulley, exhaust, CAI, and tuning. I don't think that 500 could hold a candle in terms of handling but that's why I think it would be cool to see a 500-fighter. To a musclecar guy, power is everything (I said musclecar not pony or sports car because I'm a musclecar guy )

422hp vs 500hp in cars that weigh about the same. Yes, it's just you.

You know that these similar 0-60 times has to mean something and the 2010 SS will hit a 12.9 just like the GT500. I believe the 2010 Camaro has been underated just like the 4th gen's were underated at 310bhp but actually had 350bhp. I know for a fact that at the time my WS6 was stock it had 310rwhp which is a good amount more than 310bhp. I wouldn't be surprised if the 2010 Camaro had 460bhp. I know that is still shy of 500 but lets just see what happens.

The only thing these 0-60 times mean is that it is damn hard to launch a 500hp car. The Camaro will dyno ~380rwhp at best, that is what the same engine makes in the Corvette. The GT500 on the other hand will put down ~450rwhp. Once the cars hook up it is a simple matter of physics.
