BA prem sound

My 13 2ss stereo, sounds good, but when I want to crank it, it only goes to 45. Is 45 max?. It just seems that it could do more, is there some volume limiting setting somewhere?

does need more bass, I see alot about ********. do most people add them with a amp or just run it off the factory system.

One of the biggest problems with the BA system is the factory amp is crap. It is severely under-powered.

Do some forum searching as there are many many threads on upgrading your sound system. But my recommendation is to go through ******** as he's got an easy conversion wiring harness to go from a factory amp to an aftermarket amp (which is what I would upgrade first if on a budget)

^^ Right now I'm +1 w/ this.

I have been investigating new amps, speakers, & subwoofers. Would like the best but of course like almost everyone my budget isn't as high as my wants. I've been trying to figure out the cheapest way to implement what I would like to do - and each time I come back to "it is hardly any more $ to buy the harness from ******** + save A LOT of hassle". (This coming from a newbie type person when it comes to wiring amps & subs.)

I personally haven't purchased anything from him yet - but at a minimum I would suggest checking out his harness. Also check out his stealth sub package.

I'm 99% sure when I'm ready I'll be getting the harness at the very least. There are tons of threads on this here. Have fun!

I just ordered the ******** harness today. I'm looking at a powered sub like Rockford fosgate p300-12. I don't want to blow the trunk out just a little bump would be fine. If the factory mtx system wasn't so damn expensive I would have done that.

Harness is great. Got mine a few weeks ago. Sounds much better than a LOC.

I know everyone's got their own taste, but how loud do you need it? Are you one of those guys that has it at 45 sitting at a light, blasting everyone else around you?

Just added a 12in sub and amp. Goes well with the factory highs. Bass is much cleaner with the sub thump harness. Well worth the money.

Cool man, I ordered a powered sub, 10" Rockford fosgate online. Hoping it hits decent enough.

Yes, and they don't sound bad.
