I personally think the 20 profile would be a mistake. I used 30 on the rear with a 35 front. It works very well! Plus, you have to keep the tire diameters within 5% front to rear to keep the stabilitrack computer happy! That means using at least a 25 on the front (with a 20 rear) or you'll get a light.

I gotta put in a plug for the tires I'm using. The Hankook Ventus V12s are excellent tires and they cost about 1/2 of the Nitto Invos and were rated higher by Car and Driver and a couple of Euro mags as well! The NT05s are probably a bit better but you'll burn them up twice as fast so the cost of the Hankooks is even better! Check them out on Tire Rack. Oh.... 20 profile and these big wheel wells looks bad IMHO too!

This is a 285/30/20 0n a 10" wheel. They do have a 275/35/20 in the Ventus

Front is a 255/35/20 which should fit the stock wheel. Mines on a 9" wheel.

Beauwulf, the Hankooks are a good tire. I'd say your tire height is too short for my taste though, it leaves a huge wheel gap when you run a shorter than OEM tire. If anything, I prefer to push towards 29" tall to fill up the gaps and get a better ride quality. The shorter tire also puts phantom mileage on your odometer and makes the speedo read higher than it should. For low-mileage weekend cars or track cars, no biggie though.

I chose these for TD tires mostly. I wanted the gearing advantage (3.27 up to about 3.42) and the stiffer sidewall these afford. The speedo error is 3 MPH at 70... added to the oem error of 2 MPH so, indicated 80=75.

Now, this is a "huge" wheel gap! LOL!

I would measure the wheel widths. You may have gotten three 9" rear wheels and one 8" front wheel.

Has anyone found replacement tires from anyone other than Pirelli PZeros to fit stock 20 x8 fronts and 20 x 9 Rears? I don't mind going a little wider on rear or all tires, and I don't mind going a little lower profile than stock, but I am having no luck finding any combinations that meet my personal requirements which are:
1) American tire manufacturer;
2) Sidewall height in back should be same or a little taller than front sidewall heights for aesthetic reasons;
3) Rears should be an inch or so wider than fronts for aesthetic reasons;
4) ABS and Traction Control may get confused if the front and rear diameters are too much different;
5) Tires should be same brand and preferably same model front and rear.

Very few of the 20" tire manufacturers offer enough assortment to end up with that "just right" look for width and height and front and rear. I'm just curious what non-OEM tire brands and sizes members have installed successfully with no ABS / traction control warnings.

What's the widest tire that anyone is successfully running on their stock 20" wheels? I'm looking at Vredestein's 275/40/20's on front (I've seen several members running 275/40's on front successfully) and 315/35/20 on back. This setup retains stock sidewall height and stock tire oustside diameter to keep ABS, traction control and speedo calibration happy, and the price is pretty good. Width is 1.5" wider in back and 1.2" wider in front. It looks like there is adequate clearance inboarda nd outboard of front and back tires to run this combo. Has anyone tried this setup yet?

Just because you can force a tire to fit a wheel, that doesn't make it a proper (or safe) fit. The factory wheels are already pretty narrow, and those 9.0" wide rears are already on the narrow side for 275 OEM tires already. I'd personally not go wider than a 295 tire on the rear, 265 on the front. The guys running 275 tires up front are also using another pair of rear 20x9 wheels up front. They are a direct fit, front and rear.

Trying to find this answer so I hope someone here can answer. Will a stock ls tire fit on an 18x8 wheel? I know the stock pos is 18x7.5 so would it really be that noticable as far as looks and what affects would it have?
