Polished Wheels are Clear Coated!
I've not seen the Polished Wheels first hand (only in photos) so please don't rant on me here), but I guess that makes sense, because in those photos they sure didn't have any shine or luster, they had more of a dingy, almost dirty look.
This wheel shown has the shine / luster that I was expecting when I ordered the +$470 Optional Polished Wheels. SS/GA |

There is a photo of chromed factory 20 inch wheels on an IBM SS on here somewhere, they look great! I will see if I can find the post.
Here it is, http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...chromed+wheels

yes they are clear coated, and polished.......but not REALLY polished......for the finish you are wanting.....you have two options. Either have the clear coat removed and the actually having the wheels POLISHED, or have them chromed.

yes, the stock polished rim upgrade was disappointing. I am looking into getting some chrome rims. If I would have known they would look just like the painted rims I would have gotten that and saved the cash towards the custom rims.

I'm sure there are a lot of others out here that feel the same way. Just watch, there's going to be a flood of these "polished" wheels on the secondary market, so you'll be lucky to even get your money back for them. SS/GA |
