How do you like the track pack? I was actually looking at the GMPP track pack thread last night and wondered what it was like.
I like it. It has a very nice deep tone and there is no problem with warranty coverage since it's a General Motors Performance Part. I don't know how much power it adds but compared to what came off, it has to be way less restrictive than stock.

[QUOTE=kiteman;4159414]so can you see that "tan" appearance on the outermost paint, or is it just in the edges and grooves where you notice it?

I notice it on edges of the panels but not on the exterior panels, like your door. For example, I had the car at a show and had the hood open on a very sunny day and noticed the edge of the hood, which would normally be below the fender line, had this tan appearance. The radiator support panel has it as well. And I can see it if I look between the passenger door and fender, where the door hinges are. I brought it to a service writers attention but got "that's the way they are supposed to be". I don't necessarily agree but I'm not sure if its worth the effort. I guess its sort of like the engine compartment or trunk jams not having that shine, almost like its lacking clear coat. I guess they just don't put too much effort into those surfaces, but this paint seems to require it. I would definitely like to see if others suffer the same issue.

I wonder if the white door panels on the 45th kind of reflect the light better and make the doors glow more at night than the standard gray panels... thoughts?

I didn't know regular 2012 camaros had interior lights behind the door panels like the 45ths do. If so, I'd definitely say the interior lights on the 45th are far more noticeable with their panels rather than the standard grey panels you mention.

hey guys! so what i was posting about the paint on the driver's side door...i've taken some pictures of the weird effects i'm seeing. also, i was browsing through the pictures on the 45th group on C5 and found a picture of someone else's car with the same effect!!! will some of you guys PLEEEEASE go look at your driver's side door in the sunlight from a few different angles and see if you notice this?? if this is a widespread problem, this could be cause for us all to go back to GM...

look between the rear mirror and door handle. below the window but above the midsection line. you will see the paint appear to get dark, then light, then dark, then light. it's almost like shadows are being cast over the car, but there are no shadows.

oh, and btw i don't see this on the passenger door at all. PLEASE GO CHECK YOUR 45TH AND REPORT BACK!

here is my car:

FOR REFERENCE, NOT MY CAR BUT ANOTHER USER ON C5!!! this car is also more in the shade than the sun, so the shadow effect is not as prominently seen, but it's clearly there. i drew black lines to indicate where the light shades end and the dark shades begin if anyone has a hard time seeing it otherwise.

It appears the sun it hitting the rear quarter and door at different angles. (Door is flat and the rear quarter is angled out starting at the seam. This is normal and more noticable on certain colors.
