Yes; I use it to adjust for diffrent Music and setups of Processor.
I could have placed it in a concieled location.
But I dont mind it where it is and it is easy to adjust while driving.

Racer-X are you asking me about stock BA amp?
I have Factory Head-unit and factory speakers.

I thought you just "set it and forget it" with the bit one?

Does the bit one allow for use of the factory HU volume controls or do you have to use the little controller?

Yes the bit one is the master controller.
Can be programed for different Eq settings and for occupant location in car.

The Stock amp is in my car with a input signal into the bit one.
The Stock BA signal had a dynamic EQ to power Curve.
The bit one receives a better signal from the amp VS preamp output from head unit. and is Programed accordingly.

This is what I know.

I use ONLY my HU to control the Treble, Midrange and base as well as the volume. My BitOne controller is mounted inside the armrest and I never use it. I do not have different settings on the 4 presets though.

PLEASE!! Have you owned the MS8 or the BitOne?

How can you make an educated evaluation for the two?

I am not saying tuning on them for a couple of hours! Have you truly ever used either enough to make an educated decision on the two!

Don’t come back talking smack about a pro sound processor or how great you are!

Either amp is great. I like Arc...but I know folks there.
If you need any help with any audio opinions check out the Hybrid Audio Technologies forums as well.

bitone

I have a bitone.1 that I am ready to use . If I have to use the DRC as the master vol I really don't think I will like that set up. If I can use the bitone and keep the factory HU as the vol controlle then I will be happy with it. If not then I may be looking for a MS8.
My setup so far is going to look like this
Fronts Hertz MLK 165
Rears Hertz ?
HU factory
Sub JL 10w6 4
Amp Audison LRx 5.1k (if I can find)
Processor Bitone.1
I really like all the bit1s options, I'm just not sure of using the DRC as the mast vol controll and I'm not sure of my tuning skills. The MS8 is more of a set(auto)tune and leave alone that I have been told has good results.
Any insite from current users would be welcome to 2slow's thread

Third1,

If you look up a couple of posts I quoted ciandrew and he sai he still controlled the volume off his head unit. I agree, without that feature, I think I would have to pass on the bitone.

the Volume of the Bitone can be set in programming, you do not need to use the DRC, but you will also not be able to switch between tunes or adjust the sub volume.

The LRX5.1K are easily available. the shop I work for sells Audison/ Hertz. I run the Bitone in my vehicle and have run the Audison amps and Hertz Speakers in personal vehicles.

Was looking at this again. with the LRX5.1K and bitone you will want to run your MLK165's active (as in do not use the passive crossover network) the tweeters will run off the "A" channels (class A) 50x2, mids on the "B" channels (class A/B) 160x2. if you must use rears I would highly reccomend a another amp to drive these. the bitone has eight outputs so there is no issue there. you may also want to check out the Hi-energy subs... IMO they will give you a much better sound quality performance over the JL, you could also look into the Image dynamics IDQ series. for SQ these are one of the absolute best I have ever used.
