If you're talking about the keyless remote like on the Corvette......SURE!

That would be kind of cool, but not necessary. If it's not already designed into it though, I would think it's too late.

No way. We have a Nissan Murano with a push start and I hate it. I think what I hate most is that when I drop off my wife to shop and I wait in the car, I have to turn the whole car off and then push the button again to get to the auxiliary position to listen to the radio. I know it's only about 12 seconds without music, but it irks the hell out of me. A good "old fashioned" key just has to be turned back a nothch to do it. Also what was mentioned earlier about her going into the store and then after I park and turn off the car I can't re-start it because she has the keys in her purse.

We shouldn't need keys, just a proximity sensor. My 2010 Nissan Armada has a small key fob that you keep in your pocket and you never need to pull it out. Just push start and off you go!
Keys are outdated.
Until you set the proximity thing down in the garage next to the car one day, and forget, then hop in the car, hit start, drive somewhere, shut it down, and you're stranded...

The stock key is perfectly acceptable to me...I actually wish it were more old fashioned (read less expensive to replace, and also less likely to break than these VW/Audi switchblade things).

Yes. Have it in my Lexus and like it very much. The Lexus system works very well.

Try leaving the transmission in N rather than P. If it's an auto. This is what I have to do in my Lexus to keep the acc on while turning the engine off.

We have push button start in our 2011 camry and we love it! When ever we get in our other car I reach to push the button and then realize we don't have that feature in our jeep. I don't have to take the keys out to unlock the car or start it and that what I like the most about it!

It won't do that. Ours will not start unless its in the car, plus it will beep to holy heaven if you try to move without it.

This exactly happened to a friend of mine. He was working on his car in the garage. The key was on the table. He needed to go to AutoDiscount to get something. Goes there, shuts the engine and no way to get back. The dealer then changed something that the car would not turn off, if the key was not around.

Wow. What kind of car was it, if I may ask? Our Infiniti and even our Caddy wouldn't do that....the range on theirs must be further.

When that happened, he had three cars (his a BMW 650, His wife's an Audi Q7 and his son BMW 135). I'm not sure which one, but I guess it was the 135 that he was working on.
His new Jag XK doesn't even start, if the key is more than 3 feet away, but I wonder what would happen if you start the car and take the key away from the car.
I'm not too crazy about keyless!
