I have to drive rental cars pretty frequently and it sux. Sometimes I will use points to upgrade to something not so crappy.
Even my rentals aren't Civics so I feel for you.

it will make you appreciate it more. I usually only drive my Camaro on fridays and on the weekend, I commute with my wife in her Malibu. So after driving the Malibu 4 cyl for a few days, I get in the Camaro, step on the gas and it feels like a shuttle launch!

I sort of like the few times I let it sit in the driveway (in the shop in your case). It makes me feel like people are wondering where it's at.and I know some people wonder where it is. what am I doing to it? Am I adding more mods to it? they shall soon find out. mwuahahahah Think of it that way. Sometimes I might even take my gf car (she has a civic) for spin just to see whats going on in the streets as far as competition goes. And just let them wonder. Plus you are saving gas for a week or two.

You know what they say, a rental car is the fastest car in the world!

Hey - I owned a Civic Coupe when I was working and traveling a lot. It makes you feel better when you drive away from the gas pump. Enjoy the 36-40 mpgs while you can.

Not that I'd advise being reckless in a rented vehicle. I think they should be driven in the same way you'd drive your own car on the road. Enjoy your Camaro that much more when it's returned to you. |

That's right, make you enjoy the Camaro that much more when you get it back. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Not being a jerk but I dont get it? If its a newer rental car I'd be cool with it. Hey not bragging but I had 3 Civic si's before (09, 10 coupe, and 09 sedan with navi). Unless you rice them out and drive like an idiot or try to race everyone they really are not bad cars. I currently have some badass rides (hard work with very little social life plus a sort of healthy inheritance) and I would proudly drive a Civic (si) without complaints. A kia rio or hyundai accent on the other hand.......

you could always swing back by the rental place and see if they will swap you into a new Impala or Charger or something better. I used to be a manager for Enterprise and people would always come in and do that

I heard that you can pull on the emergency brake in a damp corner and pretend that you are breaking loose.
