is there a way to run long tube headers-V6

i am wondering what code is getting thrown when running long tube headers. if it is for the second 02 sensor, could something be rigged up to help. maybe a baffle aroung the second sensor ?

what do you experts think. i want to run long tubes but dont want to reprogram the ECU until the warrantee is up.

your best bet might be to just wait. you will need some tuning for the car to run right. there are lots of other parts to buy to keep the car fresh. just a though.

good luck either way, headers are always an experience

They move the cats and sensors further down the exhaust from where they designed to be read from.

none of this is what i was asking. i know where to buy and who sells the long tube headers but it appears as though they all throw codes. i was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to why and how to fix this code issue without reprogramming the ecu.

actually... in a word yes... (sorry)

You can buy "MIL eliminators" which basically fool the computer into thinking the rear o2 sensors are working correctly...

I am curious why you would put all that money into the exhaust system and not get a tune. You will probably get more gains out of just a tune than you would the exhaust system.

Must guys now with tuners... MILs I think were more popular back when tuning wasn't so easy...

Hi scrming

this is very interesting, are there any made to fit the camaro V6? will these only disable the o2 sensor error or does it cause havoc with all CEL systems?

where can these be purchased?

i am getting excited now. i cant wait for BBK to release their LT headers now.

thanks for the input.

Ok.. lots of O2 simulators out there... but I also found a LOT of threads for a LOT of different cars doing the "anti-fouler" trick... here is one of the better write ups:

http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-how...ouler-how.html

Maybe we can get PieNSky to try it out!!! LOL
