I used AAC's footwell lighting kit with SMD flexible strip in the same color as the ambient lighting (http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...ingpair-1.aspx).

The hardest part for me was to get the t-tap to clip onto the wire. I have arthritis in my hand and couldn't squeeze it hard enough. So, I taped the t-tap onto my pliers so I could reach up in there and snap it on. It's almost impossible to get 2 hands up in there. Once I got the t-tap on, the rest was easy. Here is a pic.

OOOOO that purdy

I found places to use zip ties on the passenger side. On the driver's side, there was a good flat lip that I was able to use the adhesive strip that came on the back of the LED strip.

Does anyone know which wire goes to the auxillary gauges? And would that be constant power or would I be better off doing a fuse tap?

Yellow wire underneath the 4 gauge console. That's for ambient lighting.

Thanks for all the tips here people....

I did mine today after work.Bought a set of flexible LED strips from PepBoys for $24.00.
Easy with the self adhesive backing and can be cut to lenght if desired.

They really are of decent quality and work and look just like the pics and Videos here.

I went with wiring them to the Purple Ambient source wire behind the passenger kick panel.
So when the lights are on,opening the door or driving at night, they are on and dim and turn off automatically just as the door ambients do.

I don't really like the dome light on at night when entering or exiting, way to bright,so this works perfect for me as it is plenty bright.

If I need to read of something I just hit the dome manually.

Great tips and easy to do
