Yup I try to test drive them before I buy any car. Salesman almost had a heart attack when I slammed second through a curve, guess he didn't realize what traction control and stabilitrack actually do.

Test drove both the SS and LT before purchasing my 2LT. When I went to look at it, just started it up cold and looked at the obvious things. Was still covered in snow. Told the dealer where he needed to be for me to take it and give me a call when he talks to his manager. A few phone calls back and forth and we agreed on a price for it. First time driving it was the next day when I took it home.

Took mine on a 15 mile test drive. Salesman was cool...I actually got to put it through some spirited driving. Sat down at his desk afterwards and signed on the dotted line. We already had all the particulars worked out!

Nope, put deposit down on the car in 2006. Car showed up on the trailor while I was finalizing paperwork on June 1st, 2009.

First time I drove it was to get gas. (On the dealer of course)

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

Hell ya I did.

Mt first ever test drive was a fully loaded, black on black, 2SS/RS w/ the "extended RS package" (the square exhaust tips, lower skirts and front lip) HOWEVER, the car had not been PDI'd yet.

The saleswoman knows Ive been driving Camaro's my entire life and actuaqlly just handed me the keys and a dealerplate and told me to go out, have fun, come back whenever I feel like it and to make sure i don't get pulled over .

I took the car for at least 2-3 hours by myself. I brought the car to my house, just to see how it looked like in my driveway with a 2nd gen and 2x 3rd gen's...it looked good. Then i went to my buddies work and him and i did a thorough look-over of the car. It was beautiful. Everything was perfect!!

...except the price...ouch! That special "extended" rally sport package put the car out of my budget...so i returned the car to the dealer..and we couldn't make it work with my budget.

The next day, I get a call from the dealer and they told me they found me a car I wouldn't be able to say no too...they were right! 2012 2SS/RS in my favourite colour, Ashen Grey Metallic! No sunroof, No HURST shifter and without the extended RS package...but still had the HALO's with HID's, center pod gauges, 9 speaker BA stereo, bluetooth, HUD...so we worked out a price and it was a BIT more then I wanted to spend, but I've been making it work.

I love my 5th gen SS. It makes me smile every day! Until I have to fill it up anyways

I drove a Mustang, Challenger, Evo X and then the Camaro. The Mustang was too soft. The Challenger was only auto and had no power in my price range. The Evo was too expensive. The Camaro was just right in every category.

Nope, I ordered it from the factory without ever driving one. I sat in one on the lot once or twice after I ordered it just because I was so impatient waiting for it to come in.

Hard to test drive when you order one 8 months before they started building them.

Picked it up at 7PM on 6/19/09 and 12 hours later was on the way to Florida, sure did get alot of attention.
