However I still went ahead with the doors themselves. They will be a while. There was an error in production that would have made them nice decorations but not at all functional. They forgot to leave me room to install high strength aluminum bars/rails to replace the steel one in the current oem doors. This is where the weight will really be shed. More info when it comes in.

The final goal for my mule is to get the weight down to 3000lbs. Which I believe to be more than possible, with the least expense. Also to offer (If demand is high enough) this service to any and all cars, makes, models, both new and old.

so today was a f#$*!n waste of my time, gas and excessive wear on shop car. the fenders were made without the new hood being taken into account. they were off by a full inch. have to modify the prototype and readjust spec for final product. the hood is ok i'm having second thoughts about making the extractor's larger or maybe doubling the vents from 4 to 8

Carbon Fiber ZL1 Prototype Hood (Rough)

This is the hood. Its ok. They didn't mold everything one piece like I asked. They left the rain deflectors separate. Gonna look into it. Hopefully Sat I get it all installed and hit the streets for reactions and maybe a few interested. Final product will look much nicer.
