got a new car on 4th of july
I pick up a 2014 Cadillac CTS vsport premium. It sat on the dealers lot for a while. They were asking 77,595.00 for it. I told the sales guy there not going to get that price for that two year old car even if it had 76 miles on it. he said since it was the 4th of July and his manager told him to sell it, they took off 25,000+1,600 off from Cadillac+20,000 trade in for my 2011Cadillac CTS coupe. I think I made out!

It's a nice looking car, but I'm definitely NOT impressed with the performance of it. 420hp and only able to muster a 12.9? My old 3V GT matched that with a LOT less power and only rwd. Hell, My old Camaro would handily beat one with the same power.

Not impressed. Sarcasm?
This is new the new body style, so the car is MUCH bigger than your old Mustang and Camaro. For a luxury car with some sport, it's pretty darn quick IMO. Nice looking too! Wish those new CTS-Vs weren't so expensive..

Wow great deal OP! Congrats on that beautiful ride. It may not be as sporty as a camaro but it will definitely smoke most hot shots at a red light . Enjoy!

Yeah I know it's a bigger car don't get me wrong, it's a good looking car to boot. I'm just saying that for a TT V6, AWD and 420bhp, it's not very fast for the power it has. I was expecting mid 12's at least with that kind of drive train. I can imagine that it's probably neutered pretty badly from the factory and a tune would do amazing things. Don't let that detract anything from the OP, he bought it and he likes it. All that matters really. What cars in that segment does it compete directly with, just for curiosity?

Thanks everyone. Only the lower hp modals had AWD, this is RWD, and this car is by far a much better ride with the magnetic ride control, and electronic rear diff, then a 3v gt. The 77,000 included an 8,000 dealer mark up. stuff here in Hawaii has outrage mark ups.
