Question: I heard the film that develops on the inside of the windshield is related to these chemicals. Is that true?

I love the new car smell too but unfortunately I realize it is toxic. Sad that such a simple pleasure is bad for you.

Also, perhaps the smell is bothering you more since you're spending more time in the car than you otherwise would? Just a thought.

I thought I was driving the wheels off mine. Had her 2 weeks now and shes got 1300 miles on her. Im glad to see someone else enjoying there car like me! Some people say they dont see why Im driving the car everyday? Im sorry Im not going to buy a car and just let it sit. I bought the car to drive it and enjoy it! I also dont think these cars are ever going to be in high demand like the 1st gen. Personally I just dont think any of the cars built now are going to be classics like what classic cars are today. I might be wrong. I know it wouldnt be the 1st or last time Ive ever been wrong

This is our 21st new GM car and most had leather.

The "tar " smell is over powering the new leather smell. Used to use a GM leather cleaner that always left them smelling new.

This current smell will cause head aches.

Vinegar will mask the smell but it does not stop the chemical curing process which is the underlying cause of the smell. Vinegar is just exchanging one smell for another but the chemicals are still there. The solution is to leave the windows open as often as possible so the chemicals have a place to go except into your lungs and bloodstream.

Well just cracked an inch and on normal AC. Not MAX ac. Don't want to sound like a broken record but that's how it's gonna cure if you have to drive it.
