Allocations about to be a thing of the past ???
I read in another post that someone's dealer had told them that next month (I am assuming August) that the allocation system will be a thing of the past & that orders will go on a first come, first serve basis. Is there ANY truth to that??? Has anyone else heard that from their dealers/salesmen?

by next month, all pre-orders will more than likely have been filled. hence FIFO will take over.

No. The dealer allocation system is still, and forever, in place. My salesman said the original dealer allocations for the camaro are being increased in August, and some dealers may be a doubling of their original allocation. The whole dealer allocation system is a sham.

Any dealers care to chime in? I assume that there will always be an allocation plan. They still have them for all Corvettes. I think as demand gets met and the allocations increase the allocations will be moot.

Wow that would be great.. I asked my dealer about that very thing. He just said I anticipate things getting better concerning the allocations. Not really the answer I was hoping for lol..

i think the allocation system will always be in effect.
That is how they get dealers to buy fuel efficient cars for inventory even though they frequently lose money on them. But I know for a fact that Chevy has been adding to dealer's allocations since may. And they are continuing to add allocations. |

With international sales, US allocations will probably get worse.:(
Hope it doesn't though |
