Halo Lights
I have an Lt camaro and I want to get the halo lights like on the RS model. should I buy an OEM RS light kit or just go with Oracle Halo Kit? Reason I ask is cause the OEM RS Lights are around 800 vs 200 for oracle. Whats the difference?

If you have non-RS lamps, you need to open them up and install LED rings. Not the best looking option, IMHO.

Just do the Halo light kit from AAC or from night owl. Night owl you can control from your phone. I recommend night owl kit for control purposes. Tons of people have open headlights to install.

If you want the best looking, get RS lamps and add an RGB halo kit. No dots, just smooth light rings. You can hunt here for them, or, ebay for take-off headlamps to save money.
NightOwl does not have a non-RS halo kit. You can get your own rings and control them with NightOwl, though. |

Halo Lights
At night from distance led are the brightness and people can't tell the difference. Not like people are going to say omg I see individual LEDs. The common person will think cool. I have Ss/RS and here is mine. No more OEM rings.

There are actually a lot of people that do see the dots and don't like them.
Bottom line, if you like them, great! Mods are to make you happy, not someone else! |

Just saying to the op no need to waste money on rings that are not needed to get the same result. Most are never going to know if you have the rings or not. Only people that would know would be other Camaro owners that are mod crazy. If you want bright then LEDs are the way to go.

My rings came out and they replaced with the halos from AAC. I have had zero problems. They are super bright. Like other poster said you can get the Smd ones to no show LEDs if really worried about that but not as bright in my opinion

LED rings that do not have dots (COB) will be single color only.
