Does anyone know the cost to replace side airbag curtains on both sides?
Do you have an out the door final price to replace the side curtains.. mine deployed and I am looking for a price from someone who actually replaced theirs... not a guesstimate.
Thanks Last edited by dgriddick; 12-17-2013 at 05:27 AM. |

I could be wrong but there is more to it than just replacing the bags.
The module has to also be replaced / certified. Check with a certified tech first.

How/why did yours deploy? It's not cheap; check with your dealer as it's more than just replacing the bags as TooCool5 said.

Go here:
http://fms.i-car.com/airbag_matrix/f...dex.html&-view This will tell you what has to be replaced. Once you see what has to be done, you can do a search for OEM airbags. |

I used to work for a tier 1 automotive supplier in the Passenger Safety Division. The firing loop ASICs and safing sensors in the airbag ECU are only meant to be used once. I was co-located in a test lab at a Ford facility in Dearborn, MI for a while and one of my Ford co-workers was the guy who answered the phone when a tech called the 800 number on the ECU. He always had guys calling from some podunk body shop wanting to know how to reset the ECU. They didn't want to hear that it had to be replaced.
