Looking for a good place that sells the backing plate with good quality retro SS emblems that will fit the stock grille and for the back.

I bought the heritage grill retro SS emblem from Phastek, and the rear blackout and emblem came from SLP Performance.

You can also get them from Sparksrestorations.com - they have a bunch of different colors, and come with mounting pads for both the stock and heritage grille

Looks great! I think I am going to purchase everything from SLP seeing as they are the cheapest from everyone I've been looking at. Better than paying extra shipping charges for buying from different places. I will also be getting the flat black tailight bezels to add to the ride as well as getting the emblems painted to match the car .

Another quick question. Are these SS emblems made out of material that will last a while or is it flimpsy? Nothing against any manufacturer but, the newer style emlems look like they are made from better material...

Sure. I did my front and rear mods about a month apart. The dealer installed the heritage grill and a local customize shop installed the Razzi air dam and lower trunk lid blackout. I ordered the front SS emblem myself and had the dealer put in on when they installed the grill. The customize shop ordered the the blackout and SS emblem and SLP was their supplier of choice.

My front emblem SS letters are glued to a black plastic backing. The plastic backing is then attached to the bracket which mounts to the grill. The rear emblem is made up of two separate letters glued to the black vinyl on the lower trunk lid. Both are made of high quality material which should hold up well.

One thing to note is the original rear bow tie sticks out about 1/2 inch from the trunk lid. I would often grab it to close the trunk lid. The SLP letters are essentially flat. You won't able to use them to close the trunk.

Where did you guys get the blackout for the trunk? I ordered one from guy on eBay, but when I got it, the bowtie was cut out of it in center. I asked to see if he would return it, and he would not. So now I need to buy another trunk blackout....one without a hole in the center of it....

:/

I got my blackout from SLP. They also sell badges. I went with Sparksrestoration for my SS badge. I like the 5th gen modern style SS badge and Spark's badges are machined from a block of billet aluminum.

But SLP sells the blackout kits for about $42.00
