Exclamation 2015 Mustang production begins + GT and GT350 news

For anyone following the new Mustang, this should be some interesting news.

Also, production of the 2015 Mustang officially begin:
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/show...tion-3253.html

GT350 badge confirmed/revealed:
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/show...dgei-3252.html

GT engine will be factory reinforced block good for 1000+ HP:
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/show...tory-3280.html

What I'm most curious about is how far along the Camaro6 model is in development and whether GM can respond to and use all the 2015 Mustang specs and info to further engineer the Camaro6.

The next round of muscle/pony car battles is about to start next summer!

They may be able to tweak some horsepower numbers, but in terms of design, weight, drivetrain, aerodynamics, etc, I'd say the 6th gen is set in stone by this point.

Nice, still looks like a average woman wearing make up though. Depending on the color the car looks amazing and in other cases it looks bland.

The GT specs really aren't all that impressive so GM should at least be able to match it. The GT350 is a different story. With GM moving away from N/A hi po engines, the GT350 will likely not have a Camaro competitor.

What a great time to be a car lover and watch the next round of Muscle cars come out over the next couple years.

This is the GENERAL AUTOMOTIVE & OTHER CAR DISCUSSION AREA. This thread is entirely on topic for this part of the site.

You came here and are surprised to see Mustang news?

His confusion seems understandable to me. I mean the title of this thread is amazingly misleading as to what the content held within is.

Just because it is a camaro forum does not mean we all wear blinders.

435hp isnt that much of a big diff, but it's a tease to what's coming.

Never said the engine build quality wasn't nice. 3700 lbs and 435 hp are easily within reach of the 6th gen Camaro. I would expect weight to be similar but it should have a 20+ hp over the GT and at least 50 lb ft of torque.

Yeah, I expect the power to be bumped up to match, or beat, the 6th gen.
