Well technically not really. In '67 only dealers they contacted were allowed to order a true replica for a very limited time frame, and in small numbers, not quite the same as when it became a RPO option with hundreds or thousands of them made in the later years. In '67 it was more like a COPO process to build just a few for special customers than a RPO to build replicas for anyone. Maybe that is what they're getting at. There wasn't an RPO (Regular Production Order) for a '67 replica to be built, special order only.

1969 RPO Z-11 3675 made
1982 RPO 1FP87 6360 made
1993 RPO B5A 633 made

P.S. If you noticed there are no Indiana are dealers on the dealer list. There will be 47 "Festival" cars for use during the month at and around the track and Indy area. Most of those will go to central Indiana area dealers after May. Of course of the three actual strobe light equipped, painted graphics pace cars, two will be kept by GM and the third goes to the IMS Museum.

yea that car will be overpriced for no reason. they could of at least made it manual and with a special engine or something. besides the interior and stickers they didnt put much of an effort into this car.

It's meant only as a collectors edition with a small quantity being made. This will be a car that in 40 years will be highly collectible.

If they made it with LS3/6-speed manual, I'd trade mine in to get it. But they lost me with the automatic....

Too Bad, I think it looks awesome!!!!

Yes. The actual pace car came with orange taillights (and those cool strobes), but obviously the production model will have to go street legal red.

It make no sense not to offer a manual. If I were looking for a Camaro, I would have to scratch this specific one off my list only because it is not available in manual. I'm sure I would not be the only one. Great looking car!!!!

Even if they had painted/ cleared the stripes. Maybe an exhaust kit..

Oh boy....here come the horror stories of dealer mark ups. Its a shame we will never see them prowling the streets being that they will be so $$$$$$$. Its a beautiful color combination and stripe layout.

More effort than you'd guess...........

Will it be overpriced? That depends on what people are willing to pay for it. If there is demand, people will pay more for it.

Good example: when you go to sell, say, a 2001 Camaro -- there isn't a 'fixed' price -- you negotiate based on the condition, the rarity, the desirability and so on...... If you have a 2001 Brickyard Convertible, it's most likely going to fetch a higher price than say a regular 2001 SS Convertible -- all other things being equal.

Putting a different engine in it is really out of the question -- because we'd have to certify it to Northeast Emissions - -Federal Emissions - -and California Emissions - putting the price of the car into the stratosphere.

We created these replicas because we had so many people asking us to do exactly that............

(.......and for what it's worth - you'd be surprised at how much effort goes in to putting embroidery in the interior of any car or truck........)
