An Odd Observation...Anyone Else Notice?

Maybe I just don't pay as much attention to detail as I should, but I've had this car for 11 months and just realized during lunch today sitting at the local Sonic that the cup holders in this car are two different sizes. The one closest to the shifter is slightly larger than the other one.

Anyone else not know this or am I the only one? Or does anyone care?

lol. noticed it the first day as well. the different size holders in pretty common on US vehicles. At my work we have a pool of work vehicles and the Chevy, Ford, & Dodges all have 2 sizes for cups/drinks.

Yes - 1 is good for cans, the other is better for actual cups. My 4runner had little arms that would swing around to resize the cupholder. Didn't work that great. The Chevy system is better, natch.

LOL

Guess I am the only one. I don't usually have a lot of drinks in the car. Not because I'm pompous like that and don't allow food or drink in the car; it's just that I typically don't finish all of what ever it is before I have to get out again and when I come back to it they're all flat and nasty tasting.

The comment about not being able to shift with them occupied is true as well. I used to have a 2007 STI that they put the optional armrest extender on (it raised to height to make it more comfortable as an armrest and added an extra storage compartment). You could just about forget about aggressive shifting unless you wanted to shatter your elbow trying to shift into 2nd, 4th, and 6th...

I noticed when my parents got me some cup holder bottoms from Bermuda and one fits perfectly the other movers around.
