Fastlane Inc. ?
Has anybody delt with Fastlane or ordered the package they have for the new Camaro? If so, what does the package cost? Love the sound of the vehicle on you tube!! I am leaning towards going with them but am wondering what shipping the car to and from would cost.

Second list of stuff has packages and fastlanes are listed: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14723
Be careful with packages someitmes there is big markup in them, and just because their packaged people don't realize it. Sometimes you can buy all the parts yourself and have work done locally, or better yet find a reputable local performance shop and ask them for a package price and since they are local they can probably beat a bigger companies pricing. I'm not saying anything bad about fastlane in particular just saying do your research and stay informed. |

My example is their basics package is as follows: Includes: Pipeline Cold Air Intake, 3" Cat-Back Exhaust, and Dyno Tune 375 RWHP
Good Intake is worth $400, Catback worth $1200, and a dyno tune about $400, it states 1 and 1/2 hours of labor so even if they charge $100 an hour your only using $150 for labor. Thats $2150 worth of money spent and their package is $2070.00 So approx a $80 dollar discount and your spending over 2k with someone, just food for thought. |

Thanks for all the great info, and in record time I might add! My uncle builds race cars at his own shop and could easily do all the work for me. Might not be a bad idea to just get the same parts and go from there. No dyno though, I would have to find someone to do that for me.

Yeah I mean their second package is only roughly $2800 in parts and that leaves $770 for labor and profit. Again these are just ball park figures and packages are nice, i just hate to see people make impulse buys and not realize what they are getting.

well let's see the basic package is
$2,070 Cat-back on their site is $1,100 their pipeline CAI is $469 and a tune is around $400-$500, Let's say $450 for the sake of argument. That brings the package to $2,019. and labor is about $51 dollars |

So they are almost giving the labor for free basically at least at that level.

yeah, at that level. I havent done the math on the other packages, but I think fastlane is actually pretty reasonable compared to other places.

I didn't say they weren't and made it clear I wasn't trying to imply that. I'm sure they do a great job, I was just trying to teach the OP to do as much research as possible. My simple point was just because its a "package" doesn't necessarily mean its a great deal. From what i can tell their lower packages are decent but higher you get the more profit or extra money that is built in.
