We had our position round to win the first half last night. We had to win 3 of the 4 points to force a playoff with them (1st against 2nd) or win all 4 to win outright.

We won the first two by 82 points total. We lost the last one by more than 82 which gave them the second two points so they won the first half and we were right behind in 2nd place.

We won the first two games.
We were ahead by 83 total team series. (The 4th point each night is the total team series) We lost the 3rd game by 100+, thus leaving us behind for total series (4th game/point) and giving them the last 2 of 4 games. So we split 2 and 2 and they won the first half by 1 game.

I shot 247, 223, 244 - 714

Bonnie shot 200 in the second game.

As you can see below, they wanted it bad that 3rd game and they knew they had to win by more than 82. lol
They were well over their averages. Their team average is 741 and they shot 858. lol
Our team average is 746 and we shot 749.

Nice Set Randy ! I saw Bonnie's post on Facebook about her 200 game . I wondered if she had beat you but I see you didn't let that happen .

Subbing tonight so we'll see how that goes . Cold as hell here and I left the bowling bag in the garage sense last Thursday !

Ah...... I HATE a freezing cold ball.

I used to think that it would grip less but I never did figure out wether it does or not.

Thanks

Ya, we were laughing at our anchor bowler that second game. I told him we might try him at lead-off next week.

Ok. lol

That's fair but in this league that's typicaly not the case.

We used to set our teams up like this on our scratch league years ago.....

1. 3rd or 2nd best
2. Worst bowler
3. 4th best
4. 2nd or 3rd best
5. Best

It would vary on different nights depending on who we'd bowl. The higher ranked team had to submit their line-up first. The lower team set theirs accordingly. So typically the higher ranked team just did it the way I showed. You won points based on beating the guy across from you so it mattered a lot sometimes. You could put your worst bowler against their best and basically sacrifice 4 possible points to get some more likely points from a different bowler. It was pretty cool. Or even put your best against their worst ot try and intimidate him or just to win some almost gauranteed points. Which was really fun when you were the guy getting ganged up on and you pop off a 750 and win all 4 points.

But our 4th bowler always makes the joke because Bonnie is lead off and most of the teams on our this league put their lowest bowler there.

It does actually affect it. But not really where you'd be able to tell.

Under a microscope your coverstock looks like a mountain range...for "grip".

Kinda like drag racing...your tires work better after that burn out, right?

Nice and hot.

------------

Haven't been in here a while...I haven't been doing much bowling lately.. subbed two weeks since I've been back for Christmas break and shot a 680 and a 620.

My first night back started off pretty well but i think the booze got to me on the last game

167-170-118=455-----151 Avg.

and if you remember last season i only held a 119 Avg....So starting off well. (other than game 3)

This is the time when you see your average jump the most. Then it will be slower but consistant typically.

Explain your scoring system again. I can't find it.
